Every WordPress installation will create an account with the default Admin username. Being able to change this default username, will give your WordPress admin panel additional security.

Change ‘YourNewUsername‘ to your new name:

UPDATE wp_users SET user_login = ‘YourNewUsername’ WHERE user_login = ‘Admin’;
